On the Porch

He's figuring out how to get down the stairs.....he held on to the railing and stepped down!! Smart little guy. Lucky for me he has always had a fear of going down stairs and will stop at the top. So its amazing he's figuring out how to get down them

Outside.

We came home and played outside a bit. It was great snow for making snowman or in Jonathan case eating snow. It was a balmy 35 degrees out. Not really dressed for snow activities but none the less hung out till we got cold

Home Show....

This years home show sucked. It was more expensive than in years past and there was hardly anything there. We walked around for not very long. There might be better pics tomorrow as the photographer from the local paper was there and took some of Andrew and Jonathan...We will see. Of course it helps knowing him

He was under a table chewing on the tassle of the tablecloth.

More Playing in the SNOW!!!

This was under the ramp of the road they were snow tubing on. I would have done that but the line was REALLY LONG!! By this point Jonathan was cold hungry and tired and I was wet and my feet were soaked so it was time to go!

They had hayride too. We didn't go on but Jonathan got to pet the horse and he liked that

What could be more fun than playing on a mound of snow

Snow Much Fun!!

Big Piles of snow to slide down!!

Just some fun things to play on

Made it to the Middle

There was this big fancy ice chair at the end

This was an Ice"Air" hockey table. It looked like an air hockey table but made of ice!

More Fun in the Ice Maze!

Taking a break..to climb and play with the ice

Yeah right..like he would stay seated...nope too much to explore!!

I'm liking the ice!!

In the Ice Maze!!

Waiting to get in the world largest Ice Maze!!

Too cute..He was sitting on the ice smiling big!! happy as can be!!

Andrew had to try it out too!

Finally DONE!!!

All the kids and their cars and Trophies

Well we did better than last year.....but no big trophy, but hey it was a zamboni! He got best looking truck. "But its not a TRUCK" Andrew said "Its a ZAMBONI"
Yeah you got a bit of a point but its not like they have an award for best zamboni (LOL)

Let the Races Begin!!!

The toughest part was keeping Jonathan and well.....all the boys away from the track
After a few races the kids were bored and running around

Pine Wood Derby

Andrew's Flying Zamboni car

Its the blue and white one

Andrew's Turn....

He came in looking the the abomidable snowman

Trying the Sled Again

This time he liked it and was smiling for the most part

Daddy took him for a ride

Snow Day

For once we both had a snow day. The college was closed and so were the schools. Jonathan , of course wanted to venture outside and walk around. He's tasting snow for the first time. I tried getting him to taste it earlier and he wouldn't. He liked it

Can you tell this is when he first came outside!?!?

Tiny Trouble

A favorite hobby of his.. drop the spoon down the vent. There's mesh under it so it doesn't go far, but he squeals loudly till you get it out !

He's taken an interest in curling, Jonathan was wondering if he could join team USA. He's ready, complete with broom

I think its time to get rid of the piano. He either climbs it or dumps it over. In fact that was another thing he likes to do. Knock down the dining room chairs, his toys and anything else that he can lift.... Then he climbs on it like a jungle gym.

It Pinewood Derby Time

Tonight was the weigh in for the cars....
I should have taken a picture of it before we did this but I didn't finish it till I got home today. Here's the story. Last year I thought it would be cool to make it a zamboni car...Practical for Andrew to use later but I thought NOT practical for a race. Come on a zamboni is not exactly arrow dynamic. So we went with the "Cars" look but I found out later that weight was good and light weight cars didn't do as well. So last year we came in 2nd to DEAD LAST. (LOL) SO this year......what the hell....we went for the "streamlined" Zamboni and although I was going to put the Sabres logo on it. I didn't have time to find one that would fit and glue it on there or a gold paint marker so I made the wolf cub symbol (as that is what he is in Cub scouts) and called it done. Ran out of time. So if it does better than dead last.. or 2nd to dead last. I will call that an improvement
