Station Square

Down at the bottom of the Incline is Station Square. Its a bunch of nice restraurants and shops down by the water front.

I tried to get the kids to look but no such luck. Both were too busy watching the water go to the music.

At the Top

We walked around and sat in the park to relax a moment and around the corner there was a firetruck that they were parking. We watched as they were parking the firetruck and got to talking with the firefighters...next thing you know Andrew is getting a tour of the firetruck

Ice Cream...Hot day + walking =great day for ice cream. Jonathan ate his ice cream and then tried to convince me he needed another cone by walking me back to the ice cream shop... didn't work

Monongahela Incline

So instead of the zoo we went on the incline up to the top of Mt Washington

The railcars remind me of the one going to the Maid of the mist on the Canadian side

The view as we went up

Andrew loving it....it was HOT in there..No Air Condition. Nothing changed in it since 1870

The Shuttle

The shuttle was part of the hotel and took us everywhere so we didn't have to figure out how to get places and pay for parking.

Walking Around

So it occured to us as we were walking around outside in the heat and humidity that we are so not use to this weather yet. It was 50 the morning we left and here its hovering near 90 and humid... We thought better of going to the zoo and decided that there was other things as we discovered that were just as fun, if not more....to do in Pittsburgh
