Gash on Jon's Head

This kid........  So he comes home and wants to go to his friends house.  Fine , be home by 5:30....
5:30.. not home.. 5:35...not home.   5:40... finally comes home.  This is the 3rd day of not listening to me.   So I give him 4 punishments that he has to chose from. Not happy about any of them.  As we are talking he is riding Alex's scooter back and forth.  Get off of that before you get hurt (this is not the first time I have told him to get off of it.)   CRASH!! He runs to his room... and you better not be hurt! I yell at him. 5 minutes later he comes out crying.   Blood coming down the side of his face... I don't want staples.  I look at his head..... ummmm there's a good 1-2 " gash on his head. Yeah he's probably getting staples I'm thinking. Get them ready and take them to the Urgent care.

White stuff is numbing gel and we had to wait 40 minutes till it worked before they would do the staples.

Passed Out

The Museum left us a little tired.....

Park Next to the Strong

Even though you have a huge Children's Museum they always want to stop at the park next to it too.    In the summer it is a fountain and the park is a spray park.  In the winter they ice skate and if i think Andrew wasn't so tired I think he would have.  I have his skates in the car. Even though we left the Museum and Alex was beyond exhausted we played for a bit as it wasn't bad out by January standards

I have no idea how they have that much snow on the hill but Jon enjoyed slinging down it

More From the Strong Museum

Busy Busy

There were places we skipped and places we spent more time at.   Some places were a bit to oover whelming for Alex.    He saw the Ginger bread house and ran to the front of the Reading Area and cried.   Not sure if it was from too much knowing the story or what.   (He watches Little Einsteins  and they do that story and a witch chases them in there version)  The Giant scared him too.

Hate This Doctors Office

So during the summer I got a notice that the podiatrist moved to the Excelsior Building.      They  sent me a notice to go on their portal since he was viewed as a new patient.     What they failed to mention is that they changed dates too.  Mind you they sent this out in Aug...... 1st apt was scheduled for the 27th of Dec and the 2nd the 26th... same time.   I didn't pick up on that as there was enough other changes than that.    They were miserable to me there and didn't listen to me at all. I did talk to someone on the phone who was apologetic and got me a more appropriate apt. I picked him up a little early from school and got there with 15 minutes before his apt. to go over new paperwork but most of it was filled out in advance.  5 minutes waiting in line to check in  Then waited 20 minutes to see billing and  getting insurance card and signing hipaa forms.... Finally  they send up back to another waiting room, Another 20 minutes goes by before we get to go into a room.  Another half hour goes by.... He's tired, he's hungry.  I would have packed tons of snacks and games and stuff for him to do but who knew it was going to take  from the time I got there till we left 1.5 hours just to see the podiatrist whom states to wait it out longer.   He says at 3 they might get him different orthotics but was happy with what he had now.   Even though he's going to be 3 soon he has tiny feet and they fit well in his SMO's now.  I told them those will be a year in March.   His feet really haven't grown this year.   Weird???  So he's due for a growth spurt so the doctor will see him in 6 months.    Cringed just thinking about it.  He said he is more flexible at the hips and it makes him turn his feet in as well.  States he walks fine but when he gets tired that you probably notice it more. I said yes.  Ice skating is a good exercise for this. Well I guess I know how and why Kristi Yamaguchi became a figure skater. LOL
My favorite part was he told me "no doctor, I not sick" when I was getting him out of the car.

Getting off the Bus

He was so excited to ride the bus home!!!   I asked him if he liked school and he said yes!  I asked if he wanted to go back tomorrow and again it was a yes.   He talked about going back on the bus all night.   I told him he had to sleep and in the morning he could ride the bus again.  Very happy he liked it.   I think this will do him good. It helps he gets to feel like his older brothers and go off to school now too.

The only thing is I'm sure he used the potty more than 2 times but don't care. have no idea what cheese is for lunch...  and if he did eat breakfast of cereal  that is highly unusual as he doesn't really like cereal.  Even the sweet stuff like lucky charms he's turned down or breakfast in general...
Back home and snuggling with mom

Alex's first Day of PRESCHOOL!!!!

I think he was a little bit nervous the night before.  He wanted me to hold his hand as he fell asleep.   This morning the bus came but wasn't ready as I didn't have a time.  So I took him.  So he got a good send off.   I got to walk to his classroom and he saw the toys and was ready to stay.  I left.

Getting Some Energy Out

WOW ! His hair is short now!!! Really don't like the front its too short.   I think I know why I never liked it that short on the others.   All of them get  highlights in their hair especially in the from.  Andre more red than the other 2's blonde.   It makes them look baldy because it blends in,  Like this top pic. Which makes it look weird. Its a  contrast with the darker hairs. its hair it will grow back

Time for a Haircut

Tomorrow he starts preschool, time to get a hair cut and look great. New year, new school new do.
Where was this when Andrew was young??? This was all Andrew did at Alex's age.   I had to improvise.
