Visiting Grandma and Grandpa "4 Wheeler"

Don't matter which one we go to ....If I say grandma and grandpa, Jonathan says Choo-Choo..... You can hear the trains from this ones house as they are about the same distance at both from the railroad tracks.

And the reason why Andrew gave his grandparents this nickname.......He's a happy kid!

Guess What I want for Christmas Mom

This is were he hung out all afternoon. It cost more to do this activity (not if you just sat in it) but I don't think he has the coordination yet to steer and drive...okay...I wasn't really willing to find that out. They unhooked the batteries and did it in front of him and he tried like crazy to hook it up. I must say he almost had it-didn't push it in far enough. Yeah I know. ....rule #1 do not do anything in front of this kid that you don't want him to know.....He sees it once and he's got it.

He's all about the cars.....

Bounce House Fun

So I took them to a place with lots of bounce houses. Jonathan had very little to do with any of the bounce houses. He didn't want to go in them much

He liked this little slide and see the yellow, red and blue "bounce thing" directly behind him....yeah that was a big slide that I had to haul him up all afternoon.

His Blanket.....

His blanket has needed to be washed alot for various reasons this week and its always a challenge to do so. He has a fit if he sees you wash his favorite blanket or if its out of his bed. This night it came out of the drier and he was just happy to have it with him. He usually takes it and imediately bolts up the stairs and puts it in his crib as its his favorite to sleep with

And I thought there was no way it was going to get used...okay maybe when he was little and was on the floor and thats it. How wrong I was.

The Underground Railroad

This I thought they did a good job on....It was the best improvement I saw there. Who would have thought that the underground railroad could be fun. They had all these areas to crawl into and well they thought it was great fun. Andrew hiding in the "attic"

Big Carved out tree

And the log cabin with a storage door

New Exhibits ...

I knew they added stuff from the last time I was there but personally they made it too "Sciencey??" Too much reading and explanation and not enough hands on. There was alot of hands on stuff before replaces by fancy exhibits to read and not much to do. Which is impossible to read when Jonathan doesn't stay still for one second. Jonathan was happy just running his car over every thing for the most part
This one simulated an earthquake. He liked it!

Tunnels and Digs

The real ice to look at through a magnifine glass is always fun, but more to touch it
He would not give up holding his little car

All the kids had to wear googles in the digging area so this was something Jonathan could not would not do..... I can't get him to wear a hat .....You really think he's goingto keep googles on???

Rochester Museum and Science Center (RMSC)

Its been awhile since we went here and we use to go all the time but I got tired of coming here. This was't a great place for Jonathan, there was little for real litle ones. Andrew has always liked the "pretend clouds" to climb but its a little too big for Jonathan whom has a bit of fear a heights
