Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights.....
So I convinced myself I was going to do this after waiting for Santa outside that morning. I decided we could walk over and walk to most of the stuff because I really didn't want to take the car over and find parking. Part of me didn't want to deal with the crowds there too but most of it was spread out and figure we could see some thing else. Besides most tourist want to see the Falls...
So we parked in the American lot adjacent to the Bridge and walked over.. first pic is us on the bridge.
Why I decided to go is that they have alot of interactive light displays and thought it would be cool to check out.. The one below was one of them.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
I really shouldn't be here but at a funeral for my grandmother.... I really didn't have the strength or the energy to pull that off. 4.5 driving down to have them sit in a funeral and drive back hoping it didn't snow and the roads were good. I've been stressed all week. Tuesday with almost 9" of snow and dealing with that was enough to say the hell with it. I've had major headaches all week and didn't want to do much and really didn't today either. the only stuff going on is seeing Santa..
Last year we went and I was underwhelmed as everything was so packed that you couldn't do much. So this year we went early and watched and waited for Santa to arrive. They gave them little bells and paraded through the mall. Still everything was too packed but we got to see the excitement and that was good enough.

Work from Home Day???
He's set up to stay in and not got to school. I learn from home Mommy.. Sorry buddy you live in Buffalo. 8.7"(per the airport) of snow and school isn't even going to delay you.... Get dressed.
That Time of Year.........
Where this one sort of dresses for the weather because he can't be bothered to find his coat and boots but somehow finds snow pants and that's all he needs.
Where the weather guys from the major networks or weather channel show up to show the rest of the counrty what a real snow fall looks like. Probably because they can still get here.. I guess Buffalo wasn't good enough so they had to pick an exotic place like Batavia NY....
Hey whatever gets you on the Map.....
And lets not forget the poor pumpkins that had there day in the sun and now are looking like snowballs.....

RIP Grandma
We all knew it was coming.... We all knew it would be soon. Somehow a bit of relief knowing she's in a better place. It was wonderful to have visited with her last weekend. To see her and that she was good when we visited. The last I left it was hard. Tears in my eyes as I left the room and to keep in contact with her knowing that it really wasn't going to be. The kids didn't understand and don't know her well or how I was that certain that it would be the last time. This was the first time she met both Jon and Alex. She was very headstrong and maybe why we always didn't get along all the time. Maybe that is were I get it from. Fly high grandma .....
