Captain's Log: Day 38 Seriously Stop Snowing....

 I'm somewhere near the bottom left at this point,,,,  Will be heading to Cabbage Patch face soon....  With the snow and cold.... feeling a little blue.  That and Alex with his nonstop demands....

 Its raining and its cold but we went for a walk anyway...

Because I had to be seen in public today... Had to get groceries....never in my wildest dreams... face mask in public... so wrong.

Captain's Log: Day 37 Earth Day

Well.... its a weird earth day isn't it???  Instead of everybody saying how can we make our enviromental footprint less , we are doing just that aren't we?  Cars barely on the road.  People not around its like nature is taking back whats hers.  

I love when the kids ask me what are we doing tomorrow?  Hmmm there are so many options... 

Let me think ...A Park??? 

We walked down by the river first as there was a police care over by the skate boarding park.   I'm assuming if there was a bunch of skate boarders or something but  us I don't think so. Jon road his scooter around and loved that as Alex chased him. 

We didn't stay long.  it was very cold down there with the winds caoming off the lake and the water was choppy.  We had I guess Lake Effect snow today... Apr 22... Come on Spring...

Captain's Log: Day 36 "The Sound of Silence"

 So we came to Downtown Buffalo and Canalside.   Gov. Cuomo spoke at Roswell Park today and after we had lunch I showed them were he probably was and just drove around Downtown till we ended up at Canalside.  Its quiet ...very quiet  everywhere.  There was a few here and there but not not many. The day was weird to as it would be sunny and the sky was blue to dark clouds and snow.   Probably more the reason nobody was down here...

Just knowing places like the library, courts, businesses, restraurants etc.   not open... weird.

Side note: The battleship wouldn't be open anyway and the Sabres would not be in the play-offs this year so... those are normal

Captain's Log: Day 35 Life's a Beach

 Governor says Beaches are closed...But State parks are open.....   Hello its April in Buffalo... beaches are closed anyway...   This one is closed most of the time regardless.   Polution... Lake Erie...
There was a family on the beach picking up trash.   Earth day is Wednesday. Well at least they are doing something during quarentine. 

 Anyway NO masks. We aren't near anybody....

 Not sure why they destroyed the playground... Not sure what they are doing to this beach quite frankly.   The stuff that was going for it are now gone.   They had an ongoing beach party in the summer but tore that down and now the playground too??   Those were basically the only reasons to come to this one as the beach itself was almost never open....

Captain's Log: Day 34.....Lost Milestone

I guess my no drama llamass mean an empty calendar... No track meets, soccer, apts, events,  complete NOTHINGNESS

Back  when they announced the school were shutting down and that they were going to be home schooling  and well the bottom dropped out from all of us the original date was that Monday the 20th they would go back to school .   We know that has changed twice during that time and that they will be lucky if they go back May 15th.   Honestly I highly doubt even that. I really can't remember the last time we have spent so many days doing ....nothing.   Don't get me wrong we don't do NOTHING  we do stuff around the house. Alex painted, Jon helped me make apple crisp, I just hung out listeing to music and danced.  Andrew mostly was on the computer.

Captain's Log: Day 33 .... New Saturday Norm

I take picture of signs and this stuff documenting what we see.... its one thing to see it on TV but to know the reality of it later on.  To be this close to all the "action"

Getting out and going for a walk..... Kind of been avoiding this one with the playground and the narrow sort of in places paths but it was snowing today so we went for it.
