March 1st is when the first case was in NY. Obviously for me it was 349 days ago. My first clues that this was going to effect our lifes and not just the BIG cities was Thursday March 12 when both Alex and Jonathan brough home stuff about technology at home and thoughts on schools closing. By that date they cancelled the St Patty's day parade. And the NBA and NHL shut down. It was also the last day for along while that I saw a case of toilet paper on the shelves.
It was that 1st day they didn't have school that it felt like it offically changed everything since it was basically the ENTIRE state no longer having inperson school. There was no weather conditions/no natural disasters that caused school to be closed and there was only tentative days for them to return. Oh a week.. oh till we get back from spring break. oh till the middle of May.....
Covid changed everything and there was no answers. Since schools serve more than one purpose and the biggest is to educate and the other is child care and meals etc.... This 1 entity being shut down entirely changed everything.
Tomorrow is March 1st.... we have come full circle. In many ways it feels like we never left March 2020.
There are small changes like this. However like last March they seem to not be playing. Okay I'm totally being sarcastic but this team sucks. But then again, thy didn't play for 10 months and then like half the team got covid...as if that's going to improve their chances. Anyway people are allowed back in at 10% capacity so almost 2000 fans it comes to. Not sure who's going to go through all that hassle to watch them play.
