Before the Rain and After

 Before...
This one....  needs to be a meme... The coronavirus  got me waiting ...

This!!!

As I was coming home from the park I really didn't want to go home.  The old Apple Tree Mall is a business park now and well almost totally empty from cars.  So I  went there and told Andrew lets go.... A little shocked he did and got to give it a spin.  He was a little nerved by his brothers whom didn't like his driving skills.  Think it totally made his day ;)

Captains Log: Day 14 Burchfield Penny Nature Center

In the 70's before the rain went through. Great day to walk around.  This one was more packed than any of the other parks I have gone to.  I just didn't want to go far knowing there was a thunder storm coming eventually.

Hanging at the Beach

Somebody built a car ;out of junk found there

As you can see it was TOTALLY PACKED... LOL. There's maybe 3 people in the distance if you can see them at all.

Captains Log:Day 12 Beach Party....Just Kidding

Another one of thoseplaces not alot of people got to in March.   The Beach in Buffalo Water is Freezing.  Beach is littered with all the stuff  that the waves brought in during the winter and if we forgot about it remember Covid Virus..

Wonder how we are going to remember our time in "Quarentine"  Will it be fondly thinking about this kind of stuff we did as opposed to seeing the Easter Bunny and hunting for eggs?    Or how we miss, teachers, school, normalcy.  Going to the store and not having most anything.  Will we remember that.  Will we get it and be the majority that doesn't have a problem with it.... or the ones that are unlucky enough to  deal with more.   Will this be nothing but a joke later on.   How will the economy do after this.

Its funny.... in the fact that I don't really frequent a lot of restaurants or bars, sometimes do the inside places but not alot as its expensive.  I do miss the playgrounds being open and the events that make the holidays or other events they put on.  I know my kids aren't really missing out. We usually see the Easter bunny 5 different times and got to at least that many Easter Egg hunts. Going to the Broadway market for different goodies, Maple Weekend and all of that.

But going to parks and visiting my parents is nice too.  Down time in a busy world.. Enjoying the beauty of nature as it springs to life knowing nothing about the corona virus that is causing us fear and worry.

Playing Outside in the Driveway...

Easter Bunny is going to have slim picking to what to give them for Easter.   I may or may not have already stolen one of the Chocolate Easter Bunnies  because these last 2 weeks have been HELL for a few reasons .  And I was going to put chalk in the basket but well......  so on the list to get...more chalk and chocolate.  When I feel like visiting a store.   I did Walmart online. That was not good.  I think I only got half of what I ordered and it wasn't like I ordered TP, or the other I have to have items. Just regular groceries and not tons of them....sigh.... I'm trying to limit store shopping to 1 time a week or longer if I can.

Anyway... Nice day and he enjoyed playing with chalk.

Captains Log: Day 10 Parks are Still OPEN!!

Again I feel bad about this.. they tell you to stay home and here I'm walking around Niagara Falls State park.  This place gives me less anxiety than a grocery store or any other place.   We are mostly by ourselves with the exception of maybe the entire time 10 people that we are no where near. BIG PARK lots of space and yet I feel guilty.  Maybe because it is Niagara Falls and it really does feel like we are doing something or ignoring the warnings.    But Niagara Falls in March doesn't have a lot of visitors anyway. Lets face it our weather this time of year is well.... you get what you get.  So not a destination people are choosing now.  Plus the fact nobody is traveling and you got a few locals like me that say what the hell if I'm going out lets enjoy this with no crowds or people. I have to say we usually don't go and explore Luna Island either so it is a special treat that we are getting to take this time .  Even better NO BODY there you don't have to fight for a spot to see the falls. Hands were washed when we left.

Andrew wasn't there as he had school work to do

Captains Log: Day 9 Learning

So Some days I really don't feel like being the "teacher" and making them sit at the table to learn.  Okay most days.... I just leave Alex's work out till he feels like doing it. Jon's is on the tablet any way and Andrew has been working hard on the computer in his room.  They are all trying and mostly on there own.   Alex built with the Lego's today. Very impressed with his creation, Jonathan I found that he drew an astronaut from a you tube video. Very Impressive. Jon is also taking up growing Potatoes because why not?? So we will call some of this creative arts .   Along those lines I don't want to leave Andrew out but he was today.   He had a class online doing discussion so he didn't come with us to the park.

Captains Log Day 8: Back to School

2 students were late for class and this one was in detention because he didn't like the teacher using a green crayon.   So 2 of the 3 got hair cuts and spent a lot of time talking to his therapist that called and checked on him. Thought he would leave his hair alone since its short... Nope. The other 2 did work on their stuff later.
