Captains Log: Day 198 Busy Day

Jon had remote learning although some of it is still stupid to me.  Like SSR which is silent reading... huh like you can't assign him reading on his days off and actually teach when you have zoom sessions???

Anyway....on to the other thing that is pissing me off.... 5 days his results came in..... 5 days

So I had to pick this up at Well Now and send it to the doctor portal and get a NOTE so that he can go back to school.  BTW he's still coughing...

Note that he needs to go back to school
Glen Park.... The leaves are changing and the parkis gorgeous during this time

a favorite

Boy oh Boy Alex wanted this duck to come home with us.  This duck did follow us and was very friendly. However he was mad at me because I said no.

Captains Log: Day 195 Buffalo Bills are 3-0

The BlueJays finished the regular season and are going to the playoffs for the 1st time in 4 years.  This has been a highlight in this crazy time. I was very happy they got to play here even though they had no fans in the stands. They may haved like playing here too.
The Bills won today!!! Excited for them as well.   They  were winning and then losing and they didn't give up they pulled themselves together to get the win.   Its what I expect out of good teams that they don't give in and up,  I told the kids that is how the BIlls did it during the Superbowl years.  Most games they trailed till the very end and you never gave up hope. It was 80 today and another trip to the beach to enjoy before we can't

Watching the SUNSET.....
So this one.....I did get the results back and he is Negative for COVID.....

Tomorrow hopefully I will get Jonathan's results back.

Captains Log: Day 193 Covid test Part 2

Allergy kid #2 Get a call from the Nurse . He's coughing come pick him up and he can't return without a note from his doctor.....

Oh yeah... I forget about my quiet allergy boy.   Alex has all the drama with his sinuses and then there's this one. I called his pediatrian and told them about it and said that its a on going problem with him at school. They know they told me its in black and white.  The only other time Jon goes to the peds besides his physical is around Nov (give or take a month) when I'm tired of hearing him cough and want to know that its not anything more.  Blah blah Allergies... is all I get and it clears up in the spring and  all is well. Why would it be different this year.... Coughing is a symptom of the plague and here we go again.

So they told me about a rapid test in Orchard park and I went and  I guess it got to be were you did need to register for it even though they told me you didn't . The hell with that and we went back to Well Care at least I know he could be seen today even if the results are in a few days. They go you were here yesterday. I said I was with a different kid....

After all of this we had ice cream   We needed a treat. This Covid thing is stressing me out.

Captains Log: Day 192 Covid test

So you have a kid that has horrible sinuses and you stick him back in school in an old building and think that he's not going to have sinus issues again??   I knew this was coming.  He's been coughing up a storm and I know its his sinuses draining but you can't help think it might be the plague.   So I took him.  I guess for 2 reasons: 1 so they don't think he has the plague and 2 that he didn't get the plague from school. So both of our piece of mind.

How did he do with the nasal swab up his nose???
Fine.   Considering what we have to do with that nose on a daily basis. He had NO trouble.

So he is suppose to quarentine till we get the results.  He's otherwise fine.

We did have a briefing, so as much as I would love for this to be over. its not...
I did take him to a playground that was empty. By the afternoon of course he's not coughing.  He's not lying down having that stuff drip in his throat and makes me question why I took him in the first place... But I know I will be right back to him coughing up a lung tomorrow morning.

The signs change ...but still the same message
