Captains Log: Day 44.. I want to Ride my Bicycle

So here we are day 44... Now its been 40 days since NY really shut down....100% non-essential workers.  44 days since schools have been shut and 60 days since the first case in the state. But who's counting???..LOL  Noah's ark?? 40 days and 40 nights... done... hmmmm

I had to do more stuff out than I care.  Erie County is a hot mess and the numbers are going up.  Car had to go to the shop again same problem as last time.   Jonathan's bike needed fixing and we got it back today and since by the time I got the car and bike back we went to the park late so we ate out at McDonald's for the 1st time since this began. So we went to the bike park at Outer Habor and Jonathan's been wanting to do for awhile. There is at least 4 or more paths that have cool courses to try. Alex and I walked around and Andrew didn't feel like coming. He walked around the neighborhood earlier.

Stopped McDonald's and the sign they have in the window....

I asked Jonathan what he's going to remember most about this time. He rolled his eyes at me.

I sure hope when he has kids that they do the same as he did to me with 9/11.....
One is pretend they know more than me about it because they saw a video about it and take that is true
AND also act like you weren't living during that time period.
AND totally dismissing anything you say what was wrong with the video because ....well you believe everything on said video.   (Video is not a documentary but someones opinion) SMH.

Maybe in a couple of years he will realize the magnatude of this.

I guess the 2nd is all good since he thought I was younger???

Captain's Log: Day 43

Another day...Another Park.... Why it has never occured to me to come here till now I don't know. I haven't been here in Years!!!   Anyway alot of people here walking but lots of trails so no biggy

One day we will look back at this and know exactly what we did during this time. Knowing that life  wasn't that tough. It had its moments but we got by....

I guess I should document the stores but that is harder. I only want in and out of them.  Everybody wearing facemasks. the tape on the floor for distancing, the plastic guards up or the plastic (stupid) on the credit card box.

Anyway Happy Muddy Trails to us

Class of 2020

Sunshine and Walks

Just because...... Surprisingly the Welcome Center was open. We didn't go in but saw other people. No one touched anything..  LOL

There's nothing like haning near the water or beach to pretend the real world doesn't exist especially when the sun is shining....  There was more people here than the last time.   But today is a much better day.

Captain's Log: Day 40

 We are feeling you Alex....

Being in Quarentine.... Looking up the word you get that it comes from another word meaning 40 days and that was because of course the ships would come in and they didn't want to bring infection and disease into an area/town  during the time of the black plague...    What a novel idea... okay so that is well you say unrealistic in modern times when you can hop on a plane and be anywhere in a few hours... Well guess what..... so can the plague and here we are with most of the country quarentined.   Talk about unrealistic. AND 40 days in no less.

So history is indeed repeating itself and if you told me we would be dealing with a plague that locked down the US I thought not only would you have been wrong but probably cetrifiably crazy.
How on earth with all our medical technology and science did we get to this point.....

We know how....

Anyway NEW Normal
