Captains Log: Day 380 Other Side

LOL this sounds about right...

Anyway had to do the other side today which you would think would be just going into the other groin and doing it that way but no.... its through the neck. So this one is harder to hide. Luckly I'm not going anywhere today and I can take it off tomorrow. Yes I'm drugged up as I seem in the other picture.   Whatever they give me makes me feel useless for the rest of the day. SoI ordered pizza and a chicken finger sub for me and had it delivered. Apparently they aren't busy on Wed as both times they were there in 20 min.  We watched a bunch of Disney Movies and relaxed

Captains Log : Day 379 Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful day out. Where were these day's last year when we were stuck in the house. I know we had a few and they seemed like they were few and far apart.

There are things that hit you and don't even realize it.  its getting to be close to a year that we have been required to wear masks. (April 17)  Today Alex ask why his cartoon characters weren't wearing masks.  its so common place and have done it so long now. How will it be to actually walk into a store again not required to wear a mask...

I remember the 40th day I had them wearing masks in the back yard and them not so thrilled with me. It was a new idea to us and now I have bags in the car full of masks. I don't bother with the oh look at us in masks. On the other hand I haven't had a cold or any other illness in over a year.....
Nor have I had my temperture taken so much in my life.

Also unlike last year were we had most of the day to play Jon and Alex had school. And the playgrounds are open.

Captains Log: Day 378

Alex came bounding off the bus with a basket full of plastic egg from an Easter Egg hunt at school.  He was so happy to get!  I took his picture to show off his happiness and  the goodies he got......then it hit me.  This ...all of this was not possible last year.  The getting off the bus,  Going to school, having an Easter Egg Hunt with other people. Its really mind blowing to think about. It just a reminder how the little things are important

Alex being goofy.......   We didn't do much tonight as it was cold out and I was tired.   Andrew went with his group. We are almost feeling like life is normal.  Only if Jonathan actually went to school today.   He's still doing hybrid meaning he is home on Monday and Thurday with only assignments and Remote on Wednesdays.  Tuesday and Thursday still actual school.

Captains Log: Day 377 Easter Bunny

So we went to Cabela's to have a picture with the Easter Bunny.... Plexiglass behind the kids Jon could have taken off his mask but didn't want to. At least we could get a picture this year.  Again had to preplan and make arrangements with limited time but I did it.... Normalcy...

Some times I sit here after I type this and think how last year was especially around Easter when the world really did shut down.  The mixed emotions about that time. maybe its knowing what we couldn't do but yet finding a way to make it work.
Kind of like now and making it work. Its's not completely normal but  we can get by...

He didn't want me to take pictures in the house... think because he trashed the living room and knows it.

Captains Log: Day 376 Easter Event?!?

All in masks, had to make advanced reservations but here we are doing an Easter Event.  As maddening as it is to have to take extra steps to do everything the fact we can do them this year is special   A year ago, no Easter Bunny, No community Egg Hunts. Everything was hard to come by.  Alex is at the fun age he enjoys all these holidays and  excitement.   He so loved doing the Egg hunt.  I wish life was back to normal and could do as many as we could find in the community.... He would love it.   But last year taught us that we can't take things for granted. We are thankful for what we have .
We are turning the corner to this thing  but it does put it in perspective and  does give you an appreciation for things.

After  we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and had pizza.  They had gotten their 2nd vaccinations today and yesterday and were feeling good. No problems with that 2nd shot.  To me ... That is relief.

Jon also signed into Disney + and they watched Onward which was very nice on their new TV

Captains Log: Day 375

We went over to the Orthotist to have his feet measured for SMO's again.   He picked out the manhattan landscape as the design he wanted.  He likes buildings..  Not what I thought he would pick but that's what he wanted. But they are only going to be windows he told him. That just is going to encourage him to pick it. Has to be different

So at school he colored Easter Eggs and brought his egg home in a little box.   He was so proud of it till he broke it.

Captains Log Day 374

He is a snuggley little guy. He's snuggling his panda .

We went to the beach... Alex got to play on the playground I kind of wanted the relaxation....
Been a day.   I would have taken pics of the court house. I haven't been in there in a year. Everybody wears masks and its limits to who and what cases are in there.  There's plexiglass and half the seats are taped off. and they got a TV with cameras.  Those are the new things.  Dennis was suppose to go to court. He didn't show. I ended up talking to the judge with his attorney and the ADA and the advocate.   Weird.  We came to sort of a plan when he comes back of how to deal with him.

Anyway...... At the park Jon wasn't happy with me and complained he was bored...I love 12 yr olds .They aren't happy with anything you do.

Captains Log: Day 373

I kind of kept this on the down low as I didn't think it would actually happen. It is also part of the reason I'm feeling good about the pandemic.  This was suppose to happen last year and I did go back at the beginning of this month and decided to do it.  They didn't ask for a covid test or anything like that.  I though for sur they would have a reason to cancel but they didn't and  I did do it.   Of course I still have to do the other side.... which is suppose to be next week. We will see. Easiest way to describe it internal varicose veins.  What it is is Pelvic Congestion syndrome....  Hoping this helps with alot of the abdominal pain I get.

Soo with that being said I didn't go anywhere with the kids today and in fact I had food delivered for supper and we ate on the front porch.
