So when we went to the History Museum the day before they told us we could come back again tomorrow to the museum again or go to Fort Pitt or another Museum. We saw this walking to Point State Park yestday and knew we could walk it again and did. At first its a small museum and has alot of interesting arifacts but there was a volunteer former school teacher there that really knew her history and did a great job sharing the information on the history of Pittsburgh and even why they like Black and Yellow so much.....
What was eye opening to me was that she talked about this fort being made by the French and that alot of Pittsburgh has french names that the British made sound english.... What floored me is see the diamond shapes on the Pentagon shaped fort. Having seen enough of these I knew the French built it before she told us. But those Diamond shapes are called "Bastiens" . Are you kidding me??? Okay mind blown.... Family Tree mind blown.
