Captains Log: Day 360 Full Circle

One year ago today the WHO (World Health Organization) called it a Pandemic.  We knew it was affecting lots of countries but didn't know what we were in for.  This is when things started to go sideways but didn't affect our daily lives till a few days later.

Last year...Alex had a 1/2 day of school as the had an art show later that evening and we went to Rolly Pollies for an afternoon of fun. Little did I know that would be one of the last normal activities we would get to do in a long time with no restriction. It was these 5 days that the world changed. It did take longer to get the state completely shut down to almost nothing.  The uncertainty ....... The scariness of it all.  The fast and furious of closures.

I was use to just documenting the kids through the years but this was much bigger than that.  I couldn't document what we usually did as we coudln't do it.  I guess I started it by Captains log to kind of take some stress out of the situation. I had labeled the days after our  Florida trip and thought why not since it seemed strange that the kids had off of school for a virus.   And then we really got to know what they meant when they called it a Pandemic.

As with everybody else.. You have a life, you have plans and then waking up one morning and everything is cancelled. Everything!! Its still wild to think about. Much time was lying on the couch exhausted from the stress   but there was  perspective....

Even though we are still dealing with it in many ways and there's a lot we can't do..... doesn't compare to the first few months of the Pandemic.

I know this all too well but everybody got schooled in this last year.

Since we went to the GI doc the other day they wanted the works... including bloodwork....

This little guy is so amzing... he is a tough stick and the poked him 3 times to get his blood but he did good and sat still
